The applicant must have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.
Applicant must be able to speak, read and write the Bengali language provided that the provision will not be applicable to the person who is a permanent resident hill subdivision of Darjeeling and Kalim pong District
the provisions laid down in the West Bengal Official Language Act, 1961 (West Ben. Act XXIV of
1961) shall be applicable.

Exam Pattern for West Bengal police constable recruitment 2022 in Kolkata
All the candidates who qualify in the physical measurement test (PMT) and physical efficiency test will be called to appear in the final written examination conducted by the West Bengal police recruitment board. the final written exam will have 85 Multiple choice questions carrying one mark for each. the duration of the exam will be one hour, the question paper will be set in two languages ( Bengali and Nepali) Except for questions in the English language. negative marking will be available one-fourth for each wrong answer.
