INDIAN NAVY INVITES ONLINE APPLICATIONS FROM UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATES FOR ENROLMENT
AS SAILORS FOR ARTIFICER APPRENTICE (AA) & SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUITS (SSR) – AUG 2021 BATCH

Indian Navy SSR/AA Age information

Candidates should be born between 01 Feb 2001 to 31 Jul 2004 (Both dates inclusive).

Pay & Allowances

During the initial training period, a stipend of ₹ 14,600/- per month will be admissible. On successful completion of initial training, they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix (₹ 21,700- ₹ 69,100). In addition, they will be paid MSP @ ₹ 5200/- per month plus DA (as applicable) plus ‘X’ Group pay {only for Artificer Apprentice (AA)} @ ₹ 3600/- per month plus DA (as applicable) as under trainee and ₹ 6200/- per month plus DA on successful completion of AICTE recognized Diploma Course.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

(a) Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for selection.
(b) PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squats (Uthak Baithak) and 10
Push-ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk

(c) Merit lists for AA and SSR will be prepared based on performance in the written examination subject to
qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT), as follows:-
(a) AA- Top 600 candidates (approx.) on all India order of merit, who meet the eligibility criteria for
AA will be issued a call-up letter for the final enrolment medical examination at INS Chilka.
(b) SSR- Approximately 2500 candidates will be issued call up letter for final enrolment medical
examination at INS Chilka on the basis of state-wise merit.
Note:- The cut-off marks for the issue of call up letter for final enrolment medical examination at
INS Chilka may vary from state to state for SSR entry.

Indian Navy SSR Application Fees

Candidates (except SC/ST candidates, who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 215/- through online mode by using net banking or by using Visa/ Master/ RuPay Credit/ Debit Card/ UPI. Admit card will be issued for the examination only to those candidates who have successfully paid the examination fee and who are entitled to waiver of examination fee.
